The host is the “owner” of the table, with certain privileges and obligations. You will see a crown displayed beside the username of the host.
A player can become a host of a game by opening a table in the casual section or by creating a team match.
Alternatively, the first player who arrived at a table after it was created by the host, automatically becomes the host of the table when the initial host exits the table or loses connection.
The following table settings are available when you create your own table in the casual section :
1. Scoring: Choose the type of scoring method that you prefer.
2. Description: The host can detail the table’s restrictions: for example: “only advanced players” or “SAYC” or “English speaking”, etc.
3. Kibitzers: The host can allow or disable kibitzing by clicking on the toggle next to 'Allow Kibitzing'.
4. Players: The host can choose who they want to allow / disallow at their table by selecting 'Permission required to play'.
Simply click on the toggle next to each toggle of the setting that you want to activate.
This is very important feature if the host is expecting friends to sit in, or only wants to allow players of same country / language or play a specific system.
5. The host can reserve a seat for a partner or an opponent by typing in the username in the corresponding seat.
Click on vacant seat (N/S/E/W) -> Reserve -> Enter the username of the player in the blank space in order to reserve their seat.
6. Other restrictions (exclude new members, minimum completion rate).
At the table,
- The host can select the Deal Source - Random hands, Random Vugraph deals, Specific Vugraph
- Reset the ongoing table score > (≡) . It is polite to do this when a new players sits in and joins the game or he may be asked to reset .
- The host can sit 'Virtual Partners' in the empty seats. (clicking on the vacated seat and selecting Robot)
- The host can also reserve seats while sitting at a table (clicking on the vacated seat and selecting Reserve)
