Do players get the same boards in Daylong tournaments?
In Daylong tournaments, not everyone plays the exact same set of boards. For each board, multiple versions are dealt — so board 1 for you may not be the same as board 1 for your friend.
This is a deliberate design choice and serves as an anti-cheating measure. However, each hand is still played by enough players to ensure that scoring and comparisons remain fair and meaningful.
So even though you and your friend may not have identical hands, you're both being fairly compared to others who played the same versions of the deals.
