New Tournament Registration Interface on BBO
A new registration page has been deployed to provide a uniform structure for all competitions. Essential information is now clearly grouped, making both registration and finding a partner much simpler.
Here are the details on the new features for Daylong tournaments and the improved Partnership Desk.
1. What information is displayed for Daylong tournaments?
The interface has been redesigned to give you all the key information upfront. You will now find:
The Summary Card (at the top): Instantly groups vital details: tournament name, entry fee, number of boards, and points awarded.
The Dedicated "Daylong" Screen: Offers a brief description of the game, the system settings used, and a link to more in-depth details if necessary.
The Registration View: You can see the number of registered players at a glance and manage your own status (entries, withdrawals) directly from this page.
2. How to find a partner with the new interface?
The Partnership Desk has been completely redesigned to make partner searching faster and more intuitive.
New Search Features:
Enhanced List: Browse the list of players looking for a partner without having to click on each individual profile. Key information (status, rank, availability) is now visible directly in the list.
Smart Filters: Quickly target compatible profiles by filtering based on important criteria (level, game preferences, region).
Simplified Registration: The invitation button now clearly displays the price and specifies who pays the entry fee.
If you don't have a specific partner:
The "Match me" Option: Select the "Match me with someone when the game begins" option to have the system automatically assign you a partner at the start of the tournament if you haven't found one by then.
Proactive Search: You can add yourself to a partnership search list or send invitations directly from the consolidated list, making it easier to compare available candidates.
