Do both players need to be under the masterpoint limit when registering to an ACBL limited game, or is it based on their average?

Each player in the partnership must have less than the masterpoint limit of the game. If either player exceeds the limit, the pair is not eligible to register for that game or event — and you will see a message explaining the reason why you were unable to register.
